Getting Ready
Ward has been doing everything while I am on bed rest - he normally does a ton around the house anyway but he really is being mommy and daddy right now! I appreciate him so much. Once Baby Adcock 3 gets here and comes home I am going to have to send Ward on a trip away somewhere. This morning Ward had to leave early before the boys woke up - he had their breakfast out for them and bags for school packed - which just left me to get the boys dressed. It took awhile and I am clueless as to what their bedroom looks like now but the final result was they were dressed and out of the house in winter clothing! I could not resist a few pictures from the bed.

Davis and Frosty
Ward has begun bringing down Christmas decorations. And we have this Frosty - a gift from Grama Nancy 2 or 3 years ago. It is one of those musical dancing Frosty's. It sort of reminds me of Barney (sidenote - we don't watch Barney at our house because his voice annoys Ward and I so much) But of course like Barney the children love toys like this so we think - what is a few weeks with Frosty. It has been about 4 days and well... Frosty may take a trip to Fiji for some warm weather soon. He is almost as tall as Davis and weighs a good pound or two more than Davis. But Davis carries him everywhere - and wants to sleep with him at night too. He needs new batteries so his song is a little slow and off which just adds to his likability - haha. Don't get me wrong - we are glad Frosty is around and that Davis loves him so... I am just ready to book him a vacation somewhere much warmer.

Frequent Flyer
I am becoming a "Frequent Flyer" at Gaston Memorial Labor and Delivery. Not a good thing. Luckily we have only have had to use a room for a night or two and not the actual the Labor and Delivery part (although we won't be ever be doing the labor part). All is well - after this Friday's last episode we went ahead and did the steroid injections to boost lung maturity - but hopefully we will have a few more weeks allowing the little one to grow in utreo and not have to rely solely on the steroids. Here is a quick picture of the family from Thanksgiving Day. Aunt Tina and Uncle Scott treated us to a wonderful meal with both of their families. It was wonderful. The boys had a blast. And I enjoyed flying the coupe for a few hours.

Thanksgiving Feast
Gage and his class had their annual Thanksgiving Feast at school on Tuesday. They feasted on pb&j, rice krispy treats, juice boxes and candy corn trailmix. He made his not so little t-shirt that reads "I am thankful for my Mommy and Daddy". He wore this outfit all day - thru nap up until Ward came home around 7:30 and only took it off for bath time. Here are a few pictures of the boys before school and Gage in his Indian outfit!

Bedrest & A Caged Bird
Thanksgiving will be 31 weeks! And my 3rd week of bedrest had begun. Ughh - I know it will be all worth it but currently I feel like a caged bird. Davis has really been keeping me company he has been out of school a lot over the last few weeks. Our friends have been outstanding - Chauffeuring the boys around. Cathy came in from Springfield for a few days and it was wonderful to have her here. She took the boys to the movies, shopping and even tackled a 3 year-olds birthday party at Monkey Joes (bless her). She washed all the little baby clothes for us while Ward cleaned out the closets and the attic and I shopped online from the bed. It was so nice to have everyone "nesting". The nursery is ready - Christmas shopping complete and I am praying to continue cooking this turkey until 36 weeks. Here are a few pictures of the past few weeks.

The Wonderful World
A friend sent me this picture. She gave it a tag-line of "God's way of smiling". It is a great picture! I would like to believe it is natural and not photo-shopped!

Well - one good thing about being on bed rest is the fact that I get to update my blog often and also get pictures sorted.
Friday afternoon we once again celebrated Gage's birthday with his friends at the local roller rink. I was given a day pass (more like an hour & 1/2 pass off bed rest) and was able to go. Gage was a trooper, he loved skating - he was much better on the carpet but was somewhat fearless. He did not like Roller-Roo, the huge kangaroo on skates, that tried to get him to skate to Happy Birthday. It was great to see him with his buddies and it was a blast to see the parents lace up their skates and head out onto the floor. They played a few tunes from the days that Ward and I hung out at the skating rink = such as Eddie Grant's Electric Avenue - if you are younger than say 30 you may have no clue what I am talking about. It was a great party, I do appreciate every ones help, while I sat like a princess (haha) in my rolling chair! A special thanks to Anne-Bee and Ward for taking over picture duty. We have closed out our Gage celebrations until next year!

Davis' 1st Shiner
People are going to think I am a horrible mommy. No longer can I pick up my children, drive my children anywhere, even cook my children dinner - I can not even seem to keep them from hurting themselves when they are right under my nose. Davis was riding a firetruck on Friday am as if it were a bucking bronco and it won. He has his first shiner. As I am stuck on bed rest (still wondering why it is called "rest") he is crying hysterically and I am trying to explain why I can not pick him up and hold him. Does not work with a 2 year old much less a hurt 2 year old. After awhile, a cold compress and a few rounds of 5 little monkeys on the bed he calmed down. And now he is very proud of his shiner, (it looks worse this morning)! So before anyone calls DSS, please realize it was not me, it was a bucking firetruck-bronco. Which he is currently standing on as I post. Where is the fear?

Celebrating Gage
Last night we celebrated Gage's birthday at home. At his request we enjoyed take out from LongHorns and cupcakes. He had a blast openning his gifts and even shared the spotlight and let Davis help open a few. The picture of his face thru the card is from Cathy and Debbie - it is really a funny card - I wish I had gotten a better picture! Sorry about the red eye, my camera is acting up.

Happy Birthday Gage
Today is Gage's Birthday. He is so excited. He will tell anyone who listens that he is now 5 years old. I myself can not believe he is 5. He is such a joy and a terror at times. He is a great blend of Ward and I both. He looks just like Ward. So many people comment on Gage as "Little Ward". He says things that are straight out of his fathers mouth. Now he is very hard headed and wants it his way just like me (not sure that is always a great thing!) We are having a skating party on Friday afternoon for Gage and his friends. He says he is going to skate with all the other "5 years olds". Gage is a blessing to us and it has been an eventful 5 years with him in our lives. It is funny that he is getting older and I am not!

A Sneak Peak
Just a sneak peak at Baby Adcock #3. This is from a little over a week ago. The 3D pictures were taken by Ward!

Fall Festival
Last night we had a Fall Festival at our Church. The boys had so much fun. We had a ton of inflatables and lots of good food and best of all CANDY. Our friends Dean and Kurt came by for Trunk or Treat. The boys enjoyed playing and getting candy but most of all I think they enjoyed passing candy out to the kids from the trunk of Ward's car. I can not tell how much candy Davis actually ate but I did have to peel him off the roof of the car. Afterwards we went to Aunt Tina's and Uncle Scott's. The boys enjoyed getting cupcakes and candy at their house and playing with their puppies. We headed home and Davis came down off his sugar rush and feel asleep on my bed while Gage was finishing the bath...
Gage was Captain Hook, Davis was Peter Pan and Ward Pirate Smead. My father had purchased the boys costumes awhile ago for them to play in - we enjoyed them for this Halloween.
