Belly Butterflies

This has been such a great pregnancy (aside from the knee injury). At times I almost forget I am pregnant (hence the knee). But in the last few days I have noticed more and more little movements in the belly. They feel like a little butterfly fluttering around. I have tried to explain it to Davis (whom is pregnant with Bob). But it is hard to explain to a 2 year old. It is a blessing and such a fun feeling. We are almost half way thru (although I have learned they are much better behaved while in utero) and we are really getting excited. We find out on Friday what the next little Adcock will be - although we have already taken a few peaks!

Looking Back

While I have been on a little bedrest (Bless my boys, all three, they have been so good to me during this healing period) We have been looking back at pictures. I am posting a few pictures from the last three summers at the beach. A few are from the times we have gone with my family (Grammy, Debbie and Cathy)and then the last from the most recent trip with the 4 of us. We are looking forward to our annual summer trip (this year to the Lake) with the girls from Springfield, Mo in just a few weeks. (I will be back on my feet, out of the brace and off the crutches by then, I swear). At any rate I have enjoyed looking back at how much they have grown.

Lion King

Ward and I took Gage to Charlotte to see the Broadway Musical "The Lion King". He has been talking about going for the entire summer. He was so excited. We took him to a grown up dinner at the Capital Grill and then to the 8pm production. He was so well-behaved. He made sure we all were using our bread plates and tried so hard not to spill anything. But when he found out that the waiter would refold his napkin each time he left the table we had a really hard time with him asking to go to the bathroom over and over. He stayed awake for the entire performance and was not scared in the least. He chose a nice stuffed Pumba for Davis (who was at home asleep with a sitter). He talked non-stop on the way home about the production, the music and the mint ice cream he had at dinner.

A Three Hour Tour

Thursday night at the beach we packed a cooler and took a three hour dolphin tour on a very nice catamaran. I was a little worried about the boys being that confined for three hours but everyone enjoyed each minute. We left late afternoon and on the way out of the bay we saw a huge sea ray jumping and flapping thru the air. The well sailed captain said it was the first time he had ever seen one moving thru the air. It was amazing and from that point on no one cared if we even saw dolphins or not. But luck was with us and about an hour into the trip we saw a number of beautiful dolphins. We stopped to watch them play. I am sorry not to have pictures of our friends but I was too busy watching my children watch them. Davis could not control his excitement. Luckily Ward had a good grip or I think he would have jumped in to swim along side. Gage was again for the second time this trip remained speechless. The dolphins played and swam around and under our boat. Only after they headed off did we set sail again. Each of the boys had the chance to drive the boat. Although they both had to stand on coolers to see where to steer. As much as we hated to head toward stable ground the sun began to set as we sailed back to the marina. Here are a few pictures of us on the boat. It was an incredible experience, something we will do when we return again next summer.

Little Creatures

The water is so clear here that everyone is snorkling. Gage and Ward have gotten in to it as well. The fish are next to impossible to catch, but shell and crabs galore. We found a ton of little hermit crabs and baby sanddollars - the prize catch was a hermit crab about the size of a baseball. He had to be forever old. Here is a great picture of him. We are in for early naps today. We are taking our little pirates on a three hour tour - Or at least a three hour dolphin tour.

Our Clear Blue Ocean

We are having the best time - Today we took a break from the beach and headed to the Naval Station in Pensacola to see the Blue Angels practice. I had seen them as a child in Charleston and still can remember how awesome they are. We had an amazing morning, the boys were speechless (and that says a lot)!!! We even got a few of the pilots autographs - Gage had them sign his t-shirt. They were rock stars to him. It was impossible to get pictures that would do the planes/pilots justice - so I will post a few from late this afternoon on the beach and this evening when we headed to Grayton Beach for a little night drive - on the beach!

The Weather is Here Wish you were Beautiful

Just a line from one of our favorite Jimmy Buffet songs - the weather and the water are beautiful. The boys (all 3) have enjoyed playing in the sand and the water. Last night we had dinner at one of our favorite places "The Crab Trap". Gage ordered and ate fried fish, he really is branching out. Then we headed over to a shopping center to play in the water fountains. Today we caught little blue crabs and tried and tried to net a fish --- no luck though, we'll keep trying.

First Night In Big Boy Bed

Lucky me says Davis - on our way to Destin we spent the night in "Hot"'lanta - (atlanta for those of you that did not know my mom. Getting ready for our big boy bunks at home we let Davis sleep on the pull out bed with Gage. The first time I checked on him - He was sitting up in the corner half asleep. Next time he was fast asleep. Early the next morning he and Gage woke up and turned on cartoons. Ward and I got a little extra sleep, great way to start a vacation.

Spa Day

A few of my girlfriends and I have an annual Girls Spa day (Desperate Housewives Day at the Spa). This past weekend we celebrated our 3rd annual day of pampering. Early Saturday am we headed to Hickory to the Rockbarn spa - it is amazing. We spent the day by the pool and waterfalls in between luxurious spa treatments. We were all so relaxed we could barely move on to the dinner portion of the day. Here are a few pictures of a couple of us getting ready to head to dinner. The Diva crowns came in our gift bags compliments of Miss Annie! Thanks to my husband who took care of the little ones (with the help of his mom and her husband)! We are already looking forward to next year.

OverDue Haircuts

Are haircuts an issue in other families??? Anyone who knows us knows that Ward and I have different ideas about how the boys should keep their hair - I say a little longer while they are little - while he goes for the near buzz cuts. We have worked it out - he keeps Gage's hair short while I keep Davis' hair longer. But it was about time for a little trim so we headed to our favorite place "Doolittle's" haircuts for children then lunch at Dean and Deluca (a little something for mom & dad too). Here are a few before and after pictures. The last picture was taken of Gage and I by Davis. He enjoys playing with my camera - it is always nice to have a picture or two of the carpet, wall and our knees but every now and then her actually gets people.
