Gage and Davis spent the weekend at Ward's mothers house. When we told Tru he would be an only child for the weekend - he smiled - I promise. I think he loves his brothers but he honestly has to be tired of them rubbing his head all the time.
The boys were out of school on Thursday because of a ferocious snow storm that blanketed the south. HaHa... We did get a little snow (mainly rain), not the predicted amount. But then again our weather forecasters are pretty clueless most of the time. Gage and Davis had fun sledding and throwing wet slushy snow balls. To be 2 and 5 again and just be able to enjoy the little gift of an inch of snow and rain mix. We have lost our mittens (poor little kittens huh) so they are wearing my gloves. I love Davis' expressions. (Note: you can always scroll to the bottom to pause the auto music and then you can hear youtube)
It has been a sleepless week - but then again what do I expect as a mother of a 3 week old. We go tomorrow for a weight check for Tru, the last Dr visit he was labeled "insufficient weight gain". Which is just normal for our children. But hopefully he will be back up to his birth weight tomorrow. Gage and Davis have begun practice for their upcoming summer debut of the "garage band" - I am hoping they will agree on a name for this band sometime soon. I have also learned the meaning of "Love someone to death" Gage and Davis are over the moon for Tru. They rub his head at any given opportunity and smother him with kisses. Just wait until he is on the move, will the love last once he sticks a beloved toy in his drool covered mouth????
On a high note Ward and I have booked our vacation in May to Parrot Cay and I can not wait. We are going to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. 5 nights away on a small secluded island thanks to Grammy, Cathy and Debbie who are coming to corral the herd. I promise to have Tru sleeping thru the night (at least most nights).
Here is a picture of my grandfather - Truman Jessie Cloud - our little Truman's namesake. I just thought the world of him. This was a picture of him later in his life. After my grandmother had passed away. He loved this orange tabby cat. But this is how I remember him most.
Tru had a weight check at the Doctor today - He is holding steady at 5lbs 5ozs. We would like to see him gain a little quicker, but he seems to be following the same path as his big brothers!
I am a stay at home Mommy, but we never stay home. Always on the go with 3 boys. I married an extra special man in 1998. He is my best friend and a great father. I love the beach and could live there later in life. I have lived all over and I am glad. But I hope to raise my family in one town.
